The 7-step dimmer is the reason I bought this, and it doesn't disappoint—I can go from a soft glow for watching TV to full brightness for reading without getting up. The heat shedding design is a lifesaver too, since my old lamp would scorch the table after an hour.

The 7-step dimmer is the star for me—I can dial in exactly the right brightness for late-night reading without blasting my partner awake. It's also surprisingly cool to the touch even after hours of use, which I didn't expect from an LED lamp.

The heat shedding design really earns its keep—after hours of soldering, the lamp body stays cool enough to touch without any worry. The 7-step dimmer gives me precise control for close-up work versus general desk lighting, and it's made a noticeable difference in eye strain during long sessions.
